Gutted!

I am completly gutted that HSMSHS has ended..........now what am i to do???

Gosh, i can not believe how long it has been since i last blogged! So much has happened. Amelia is now at school and lovin it, Henry is at nursery for an extra morning and lovin that, and we have all had a birthday - so another year older (unfortunatly for me!).
Having a little more time on my hands now i thought that id best get my behind into gear and do something that i both enjoy and that is something just for me!
HSMSHS - Looking forward to joining in again and seeing how everyone is doing! As usual of late i have had my camera everywhere with me. Marcus and i have recently enjoyed a weekend in london which was long over due, as we have never left the kids before (4 years!) and i am already looking forward to another weekend without them lol.

Mmmmm school holidays!

After a hectic weekend at work and the mother of all migraines, its now half term and i need to keep the kids busy (for my own sanity). They had a lovely time this morning playing with some friends......don't think they broke anything, but there were a few spillages! And we grown ups had cake and a catch up, there is nothing like a good old natter with a girl friend! Not sure what tomorrow holds yet, depends on the weather but hoping to get out and about and maybe take some pics that don't have children in them! Thanks to Trina for letting me take a photo for herbs! Have a good'en all.

Last nights dinner!

I decided that i would try a new recipe last night and not having used puff pastry before thought that i would give it a blast. I changed the filling a little bit from the recipe so, its a chicken, leek and mushroom in a cheese sauce pie!I was very pleased with myself (sad i know) but i love trying new things, as i can get so bored with food. Marcus liked it so it was a hit as he is dead fussy! Will defo do it again!

A little bit of play time......

Marcus was home from work yesterday afternoon which was nice, and with Henry in bed for his afternoon nap Amelia had lots of attention and fun.

Manic day today and am looking forward to a peaceful evening (hope im not tempting fate here!) a large glass of something nice, good food - Antony Worrel Thompson recipe, hope it turns out ok as i have not attempted it before. And finally looking forward to my pjs!

HSMSHS; Filling - a substance used to fill ie; sandwich, pie or tooth cavity.

Yum, a massive slice of this is much needed!

After a busy night at work, i come home dress and feed the kids, brush hair and teeth, chase Missy (the cat) around the shed trying to get her into her cat box, drop one child off at pre-school, then drive to the vets with Missy and my son, maneuver the car around a ice rink of a car park, unload and finally enter the vets - where i learn that she needs flea treatment(not too bad she lives outside not in the house!) and a course of antibiotics which cost me £51.00 and the best part is she has to have an operation to remove some teeth but its ok............its only £300.00! Well needless to say i needed to sit down, and have quickly got pet insurance ( though it wont cover me for this time).

I then went to pick Amelia up from school at 12pm forgetting she finished at 1pm, so came home and made some lunch for Henry and myself and heated up some chicken curry for the little guy - the microwave was a complete mess as i forgot to cover the curry. So all in all not a great day so far, perhaps things will look better after a sleep! Night ya all x.

I caught this sunrise at 7am this morning from outside my front door - i should have been at work last night............i got there and i had been cancelled! Will teach me to turn my mobile on before i leave the house. So with my sleeping out of sinc i was up until late and up with the children this morning (thought hubby needed a lie in!) and will be back in bed by lunch time ready for my shift tonight......Why oh why did i decide to go back to work?

A very quiet weekend planned as i am on nights and plan to sleep all day today, Sunday and Monday! Marcus will be taking the children out to keep them happy - which im sure will be soft play and a bag of chips.....Mmmmmmmmm never mind what the eye does'nt see and all that....night all x.

More snow.........

More snow and yet another snowman with a little help from some little people! School closed again so thought that we had better make the most of it! Even managed to give this snowman arms (even though you cant see them!).

Returned home wet and tired, to dry clothes, warmth and chocolate - thank the lord!

A new year and new resolutions........

Well, i can not believe that i have not blogged since september, i'm useless! But have decided that i must keep up with it no matter what. So thought that i would start by showing off some pics of our Holiday in Wales and of the kids in the snow today. Will start HSMS tomorrow...........honest! Should have plenty of time as i think pre-school will be shut again tomorrow as more snow due here.........until tomorrow x.
